We are pleased to offer this information for our graduates and guests needing accommodations related to a disability. Our goal is to make everyone's visit to campus as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
For guest who would like real-time closed captions, including translations to other languages, Carroll is pleased to offer Ava. Click here to watch a short video on how Ava works. Guests who use Ava need only to scan a QR code that will be printed in the Commencement programs on the day of the ceremony. Accommodations Request Form
Please complete and submit the below form below by Monday, April 28, 2025 so that we plan an appropriate space for your guests and family. If you would like translation in another language, please add that to the comments box and we will make sure that language is offered at Commencement. We may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests.

Accessible Parking (State Handicapped Plates or Tags Required)
- Voorhees Hall Lot - THIS IS A DROP OFF LOT ONLY
- For the outdoor ceremony, this is a good place to drop off guests (who require assistance but don't have accessible parking privileges) - it is a very short walk on paved sidewalks to the accessible seating area on Main Lawn.
- Campus Center Parking lot is designated for handicapped parking only.
- Lot behind A. Paul Jones Scholars Hall
- Entrances off Wright Street and East Avenue.
- Handicap parking spots will be specially designated
- Designated Spots in All Other Campus Parking Lots
- Shuttles will be available to all venues.

Wheelchairs
Some guests may be concerned that they do not have the strength or endurance to wait in line or walk between venues. We strongly suggest the use of a wheelchair.
- Guests may need the assistance of a member of their party to fully utilize some areas.
- Carroll staff and volunteers are not permitted to physically transfer guests to or from wheelchairs, so we recommend a member of the party be available to help.
- Carroll is unable to provide wheelchairs for guests, but a nearby location rents wheelchairs at very reasonable rates. Contact Miller Mobility, 36336 N. Summit Village Way Oconomowoc, WI 53066, at 262.549.4900.
- An additional rental option is Katy's Closet Medical Equipment Lending Library. Borrow medical equipment at no charge.
Other
- The accessible entrance to Van Male is the large "garage type" door and doorway to the north of the main entrance.
- Building interior signage and elevators feature Braille.
